Showarasen’s portfolio includes joints and piping peripheral components for large-size equipment such as transformer systems at factories and plant facilities. Our lineup in this category consists of two products: Expansion Joint (EXP) and stainless external-cover-type expansive flexible pipe.
EXP protects the joints of transformers from vibration, temperature change, earthquakes, etc. Stainless external-cover-type expansive flexible pipe has the advantage of high expansiveness as well as excellent corrosion resistance and durability. In today’s climate of innovation in factory and plant environments, we offer products to secure the high quality and adaptability required by customers.
The joints of transformer systems need high air-tightness, as insulation gas runs through them. EXP provides full-metal, simple bellows without end pipes, based on a unique manufacturing method. With the bellows, EXP is air-tight enough to stand high-temperature, high-pressure, and various other conditions. The product is a convergence of all of our sophisticated technologies, including our techniques for the difficult welding of thin steel sheets and bulging.
Stainless external-cover-type expansive flexible pipes are used for piping in plant facilities and factories. The pipes are therefore likely to be compacted and expanded, as operating motors expose them to thermal changes. Our stainless external-cover-type expansive flexible pipes contribute to safe management by absorbing compaction and expansion motions of the pipeline in the axial direction. Gasket-free designs also make the pipes notably easy to maintain and manage.
Our flexible pipe protects pipes for the oil purifiers used to clean up oils such as fuels, lubricants, and hydraulic oils for vessels or generator engines. The product is made entirely of metal, mainly stainless steel, to minimize the impacts of oil and dramatically simplify maintenance.
